Is Emotional Intelligence Important?
That’s a “yes question.”
It was my honour and pleasure to present at 𝗥𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝘄 𝗦𝗙𝗙 - 𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀: 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿 this week at C.O.T.U Lifestyle & Entertainment Venue, with 100 entrepreneurs, business leaders, and creatives from all walks of life in a beautiful venue.
Entitled “𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀”, I dove into that silent superpower every leader – and seeker, founder and funder – needs.
Emotional Intelligence is the ability to recognize, manage, and influence emotions — both your own and those of others. It is crucial in how we understand others, make decisions, and navigate social interactions.
📌 Emotional intelligence is responsible for 58% of job performance, and 90% of top performers have high EQ.
📌 Emotional intelligence increases the effectiveness of data-driven decisions by 25%.
📌 And people with high emotional intelligence earn, on average, $29,000 more per year than those with low EQ.
Do any of you want that?
Again another “yes question”.
And what about you? Why do you think emotional intelligence is so important? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
